My Path
I came by way of Design in the “traditional sense” through passionate people who taught me how empathy and science merged. My love of problem solving, burgeoned early in my life through my all-girls lower school education came from a passionate Computer Science teacher and an encouraging Art teacher who pushed me to explore my graphic design and coding passions together.
After studying computer science for one year at University of Washington, I shifted paths after I found exactly what I was looking for — a Design major in the engineering school. Surrounded by smart people, doing interesting research and projects, I fell in love with product design and sought out internships at DocuSign & Sonos that helped me learn what it was like to design in the “real” world.
After graduating into the Covid-19 pandemic, I found a home in Morningstar to start my career. Their passion for empowering investors sparked my own interest in personal finance and has allowed me to help my peers learn more about money-management at a young age.
